Youth Digital Pulse Report Edition One
14 Sep 2026
The Youth Digital Pulse Report Edition One cuts through the online safety noise with data from 227 Singaporean youths aged 13–35. While 68.5% report facing digital harms like doomscrolling and appearance pressures, over six in ten still view their overall online experience positively.
An overwhelming 79% reject blanket social media bans, warning against a “cliff effect” that prevents youths from developing digital discretion. Instead of cutting off access, the report advocates for a shared ecosystem: platforms fixing addictive mechanics, schools teaching real-world cyber-wellness, parents swapping surveillance for open dialogue, and youths looking out for one another.
