About YouthTechSG

The Youth Movement for a Thriving Digital Future

YouthTechSG is a youth-led charitable movement dedicated to empowering young people in technology, whether aspiring tech professionals or digital natives navigating their daily lives.
From championing digital resilience through our Surf Safe Campaign, to connecting youth with industry leaders at our youth summit, and representing Singaporean youth at the United Nations, we create space for young people to learn, explore, find opportunities, and be heard.
Founded in 2019 by a small group of passionate volunteers, we’ve grown into Singapore’s largest youth-in-tech movement, driven by a clear belief that young people will not just adapt to the digital future, but lead it. Today, we are powered by a strong and passionate team of youth volunteers, and strengthened by partnerships with Institutes of Higher Learning, industry leaders, and government agencies.

Our Purpose

We help young people leverage technology to help themselves and society thrive.

Our Promise

To help youths navigate unprecedented technological disruption during the formative years of their lives — guiding, enabling, and empowering them to go from being "Price-Takers" to "Market-Movers" in shaping the course of Singapore's tech landscape.

In doing so, we hope that our youths become empowered to lead the discourse and development of all things tech, in the region and beyond, for they are the generation that will inherit our digital future.

Our Direction

In the next five years, we aim to transform Singapore’s youth landscape into one anchored by a strong core of technical digital talent, supported by digitally savvy, tech-adjacent youths.

This is how we prepare the next generation to not just to inherit the digital future, but to own and shape it — guided by 2 twin goals:

blank

Empowerment

We seek to equip all youths in Singapore with the confidence, literacy, and agency to engage meaningfully with technology. Technology must not be seen as a niche skill, it must become essential. Regardless of background or field of study, every young person should be empowered to understand both the opportunities and risks that come with a digital society. As digital platforms continue to shape the way we live, work, and play, youths must have the capacity to understand these shifts and have a voice in shaping them.

blank

Expertise

We seek to build a strong pipeline of youth digital talent — future professionals, engineers, and leaders of Singapore’s digital economy. These experts are key to ensuring we not only keep pace with global innovation but create homegrown value through deep technical skill, creativity, and sustained contributions.

Driving our initiatives are 2 core arms:
